Podcast Addict Help and Tips

You can install the Podcast Addict app from the Podcast Addict website or in from the Google Play App Store.

By default most podcast apps will hide podcast episodes after they are listened to once.

Don't worry; they are hidden, not deleted.

Here's what to change to keep your MP3s forever.

1️⃣ Open Podcast Addict on your phone.👇

2️⃣ Click on the Gear icon in the top right corner. 👇

3️⃣ Scroll down to "Automatic Cleanup". 👇 Tap to open.

4️⃣ Change the following settings:

1. Uncheck the option "Delete downloaded episodes when you mark them as played manually",

2. Uncheck the option "Delete downloaded episodes once they have been fully listened to",

3. Change the setting "Keep at most" to "unlimited" so that you do not limit the number of MP3s in your Unlock Your Life MP3s feed,

4. Change the setting to "Delete older episodes" to "disabled" so that you keep all your MP3s.

Your settings should look the same as in the image below.👇

You only need to make these changes in Settings once.

For future MP3 purchases, as long as you use the same email address at checkout as you did for past purchases, new MP3s will automatically appear in your private podcast feed.

And remember: your feed is private to you; no other customer can see your MP3s feed and it is not visible to the public either.

When you buy MP3s in the future, as long as you use the same email address for future purchases as you did in the past, new MP3s are pushed directly to your podcast app in your own Unlock Your Life MP3s private feed.

But you need to ensure your Podcast Addict settings are set to update frequently so you are not waiting for your new MP3 to appear in your podcast feed.

To update your settings, open Podcast Addict on your smartphone or tablet.

1️⃣ Click on the Podcast Addict icon in the bottom bar, then tap the 3 bars in the top left, then the gear icon at the bottom right of the menu.👇

2️⃣ Scroll down to the Update Settings and tap to open.👇

3️⃣ There are a few different ways to get updates of new MP3s on Podcast Addict. Please verify and enable these Settings:

Automatic Refresh - this is the regular schedule for checking for updates and by default is set to once every 24 hours. You can update this frequency if you wish.

Refresh on Startup - refreshes and updates with any new MP3s or podcast episodes every time you open the app. Check this option to enable it.

Pull to Refresh - this allows you to pull down on the app to refresh with new MP3s or podcast episodes without having to quit and re-open the app. Check this option to enable it.

4️⃣ Tap the back arrow to back out of Settings. Check your MP3s feed. You should now see your recently purchased MP3s.

By default Podcast Addict is set up to download and stream only when connected to a Wi-Fi connection.

You can change those default settings by opening Settings/Network.

Then if you want to authorize streaming over Mobile data you need to uncheck the Wi-Fi only checkbox on the "Streaming" line.

Please note: You may also wish to verify if you have wi-fi only downloads or wi-fi AND mobile data downloads enabled. If you have wi-fi only downloads enabled, you will not receive downloads when only connected to mobile data. If you enable mobile data, you may be charged for data so please check your phone plan or device plan.

1️⃣ Open up Podcast Addict. Click on the Podcasts icon in the bottom bar on the left and tap on the Unlock Your Life MP3s podcast icon. All your MP3s will be there under "All".

2️⃣ Long press (press and hold) on the MP3 you want to remove until you see a menu pop up. Then tap "Delete episode" as shown in the image below. 👇

No. Your Unlock Your Life MP3s feed is protected by the latest privacy technology and is only visible to you. Your feed is not visible to any other customer or any member of the public as this is a private feed. Also, each person has their unique feed, which only shows the MP3s they have purchased.

We recommend you always have a password or some security on your phone or device to protect the privacy of your feed in the same way that you would safeguard any app or content on your phone, computer or tablet.

Podcast Addict is only available for Android phones. It does have a web player but this does not sync with the app.

If you are logged in with a user name and password to Podcast Addict, your podcasts and MP3s or podcast episodes will be restored when you sign in on your new device.

If, for any reason, you do not see your Unlock Your Life podcast(s) again, please get in touch so we can send you a link to subscribe again and regain access to all your MP3s.

This website (https://podcastaddict.com/) is available.

However, it does not sync between the app and the website and may not support private podcasts.

As of spring 2023, no there is not, and no plans are in the works. For an update, you can check the Podcast Addict page here.

Go to the app main screen, then long press on the podcast icon you want to unsubscribe from and select "Unsubscribe" in the menu that pops up.

Please note that this action will also delete all downloaded episodes for this podcast.
